Those Eyes

Poetry Jul 13, 2021

Just some intro: We all fall in love, which is indeed beautiful and fills our soul
with dreams and hope. But we all know somewhere that not all love will be
reciprocated, sometimes it will and sometimes it would not. My poem basically
tries to portray how love affects us in multiple ways.

Lost was I in those eyes, marble size and beauty wise
As if looking at me did it say, did I remember you of your long way?
Mesmerised I was hypnotized by the gloss, made me forgot my place,
At loss of words, I did gaze,
Placed my heart, in that face.

A voice in heart said you cannot, but there went my brain
To possess something of my own, something which made my mind blown,
Failed as I did, I was tied,
With hopes of my distant future, all died.

Dying as I did, made me tickle,
Maybe all beauty isn't there to fiddle
As some beauty is there to drizzle for the strangers to cripple.
