My women body!

Poetry Apr 18, 2020

They told me to be back home by eight,
Only if I knew even that was too late.
Yes my body burned,
Tell me what lesson you learned?
We all will die this way,
India shame on you it happens everyday.
Justifications for my murderers still exist,
This hurts my soul,
Even more,
We are huge in numbers if u can enlist.
Have you ever thought about my family?
Was I out that late willingly!
My clothes were proper I swear,
I had a women body hence they did not care.
I yelled, I begged, I cried my soul out that night,
They wanted me to know what being a girl and living in India should be like
