Moral Catastrophe

Poetry Apr 18, 2020

I'm, screaming out of madness
The world, It's turning a deaf ear.
I'm lost, inside this recklessness
And a pain unknown, is what I feel.

It was me,
Alone with a crap of dumb hopes
It was me,
Who prayed for originality
It was me,
Who wanted to be real
So it was just me,
A fool, and I ain't deny,
Preserving one's morality.

Oh what's with this catastrophe
And my own morals, I'm beaten now
On the verge of tears
I pat my own head
Lying, all this will end somehow

I've heard people sob
I've seen people cry
I've heard them saying it's useless to try
Still I was wondering to see
What the world's got
Well now, I'm giving it a second thought.

To think, I'm happy
Now gets me freaked out
To be high on morals
Sounds kind of lame now
On the verge of tears
I pat my own head
Lying, all this will end somehow.
