Did you?

Poetry Apr 18, 2020

You could’ve slapped the boy,

But you chose to slam the girl.

You could’ve made the boy questionable,

But you chose to make the girl answerable.

You could’ve discouraged the boy's liberty,

But you chose to encourage the girl’s captivity.

You could’ve made the boy pay for his act,

But you chose to have the girl unbacked.

The girl understood this way before

When you sentenced her purity as no more.

But the girl had the valour to fight against the world.

But the world was in favour to fight against the girl.

Because you could’ve,

But you did not.
