Amaranthine

Poetry Apr 13, 2020

He laid down in a coffin
Draped in a tricolour
Sung upon slogans of his brave valour.

Tumbling by my feet, I walked towards him
Sobbing with red roses I bought for him.

That moment I believed, came like a storm
In the beautiful garden which laid by the warmth.

I saw you in my dreams, stitched upon your knees
Breaking every promise, your soul couldn’t leave.

My heart laid down on that beautiful land
Where you fought for your courageous countrymen.

When I think of you
You fill my mind
There’s no more spacious room now I can find.

I waited for the hugs and kisses to shower
But now I sit still waiting for an hour to hover

I firmly believe we will meet again
In this beautiful journey of life ahead.
