Wireless communication as a niche area of telecommunication engineering has played a major role in shaping up ground breaking technologies. An International Conference on Wireless Communication (ICWiCOM) was organized by the Electronics and Telecommunication department of D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai. The conference was held from 19th to 20th January 2018 at the college where leading academicians and practitioners from the wireless communication field shared cutting edge knowledge about various topics such as Massively Scalable Cognitive Wi-Fi, RF Radiation Hazards and Solutions, Borderless Growth through IoT Platforms and Tera Hertz Communication. Dr. Surendra Pal, Vice Chancellor , DIAT Pune and Dr. Girish Kumar, Professor , IIT Bombay were the chief guest and guest of honor respectively at the inauguration of the conference. Apart from researchers and professors presenting their papers, various plenaries were conducted by Dr. Kaustubh Phanse, Vice President, Mojo Networks, Mr. Yateesh Shetty, Global Head of Cloud Marketing, Tata Communication and Dr. S.P. Duttagupta, IIT Bombay.  ICWiCOM received an overwhelming response as it received over 100 research paper submissions out of which 35 of them were presented at the conference.The selected papers will be published in Springer, a reputed global publishing website. The valedictory function was graced by Mr. Girish Dandige, Program director, TCS. The deliberations at the conference truly helped the students and the participants to gain academic and practical insights on this leading edge technology.
